Hi All, I've just installed the ''Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on'' in my IE8 browser and then re-started the browser and checked the installation was successful in the browser itself and in the Control Panel/Add Remove Programmes and it was.

But when I checked my stats in Google Analytics they are exactly the same as before i.e. they still contain my own internal stats for my own visits to my website!!

I thought as soon as I activated it, I would see all of my testing and tweaking of pages visits drop out of my data immediately!! i.e. that my own visit stats would be removed or have I misunderstood this?

Any help and advice greatly received.

Regards, Kevin Walker.

Hi Kevin.

As far as I know there isn't a plugin or browser add-on that will modify existing Analytics records. What this browser add-on should do is prevent your own page visits from counting in your Analytics going forward from when you activate it.

Thanks.

Brian Zeligson
Customer Support Representative
WPDirect.com
