Hi Sally.<div><br /></div><div>This is largely based on your preferences, and your intentions for the site. If you are running your site as a &quot;blog,&quot; meaning you intend to encourage participation and foster a sense of community for your readers, you obviously would not want to disable comments, so setting your comment links to nofollow would be an option.</div><div><br /></div><div>If you are using the site as a source of backlinks, disabling comments would be a better choice, as high numbers of outbound links can reduce the worth your site can pass in an external link, even with the nofollow attribute set.</div><div><br /></div><div>Personally I find with most of my sites that I leave comments enabled and moderated, and rarely check them. On rare occassions I spot a legitimate comment, approve and reply to it, but for the most part it's not on my mind.
