Do You Support the Latest Version of WordPress?

As of February 2010, we are now supporting WordPress version 2.9.1.

As of July 2009 we support WordPress up to v2.7.
If your Wordpress version is older than 2.7 and you wish to upgrade your site, you can do it directly in the WPD Control Panel by visiting the Website Settings page for the site you wish to upgrade, and choosing Upgrade Options under Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page.
We have added updated versions of all the plugins we use to our standard installation as of July 2009. If your site was installed prior to this date, you will need to upgrade your plugins manually in wp-admin at www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php.

Hi I wonder if you can help me, I am on Ed Dales 30DC using WPD.
I need my WPD switching back to the stable 2.7 version, to proceed. I switched to upgrade by accident and have now I have got the Beta version of WPD which I dont want.
I have sent 2 separate support tickets to WPD asking for support and not heard back from them in the past 2 days. Is there another way of contacting WPD and getting this resolved.
Please help or point me in the right direction.
thanks in advance,
Kind regards
Karen

Karen,
Rest assured that our tickets will be responded to in the order they were received. We are a bit backed up because of all the new 30DC accounts, but 2 days is a long time. Please email the ticket numbers to me at pnowicki@harvardav.com and I will take a look to see what's holding things up.
Thanks,

We are pleased to announce that as of this week we fully support Wordpress up to the latest version, 2.8.2!
This will now be the standard version for new installs, and you can upgrade your existing blog to 2.8.2 by following the simple instructions on this page: http://ask.wpdirect.com/question/179

The latest version is 2.8.4, lol.
Is it an idea to have an icon in the WPD dashboard, which says "Supported Up to Version x.x.x"?
I donno how important this is?

You guys must know of the latest terrible Wordpress Attack. It is vital that WPD upgrade to version 2.8.4
Which leaves me concerned. You guys recently upgraded to 2.8.2 - very cool, but in order for me to secure my blogs i have to upgrade to the secure 2.8.4 version. Is this going to cause a problem if i upgrade from the back-end of Wordpress, as WPD was the initial installation?
Do we have to upgrade only from here, WPD??
Please advise - the attack is quite serious and leaves all how have Wordpress below 2.8.4 unsecured!
Much appreciation for your assistance :)

We are now supporting WordPress version 2.8.4
In general, WPDirect customers are encouraged to upgrade their WordPress installation via the Website Settings interface. This is the best way to make sure you are using a supported version.
Although you are welcome to upgrade through the wp-admin control panel, we cannot guarantee that there will not be any issues that arise from such actions. We cannot be held responsible for any errors that occur if you upgrade too quickly or install an incompatible plugin.

If that's the case could you update the log-in page as this still says we're supported until version 2.8.2.
Thanks,
Mike
