Do I have to do this all manually, or do you provide an easier way?

You can upgrade your blog to the latest supported WP version (2.8.2 as of this writing) quickly and easily by following these steps:

1. Log into your WPD account
2. Go the the Website Settings page for the blog you want to upgrade
3. Click on the Advanced Settings link at the bottom of the page to open the Advanced Settings area
4. Click Upgrade Options and then click the upgrade button

Your blog will be upgraded automatically. Please note that depending on the server load this may take up to 10 minutes in some cases. Closing the window will not stop the upgrade process, so feel free to move on to other tasks while you wait.

I followed your instructions to upgrade the WP version. When I clicked on Upgrade Options, all I got was a line about the version I have currently on the website (2.7 something). There was no upgrade button visible.

No upgrade button, as with the above people.

Is anyone monitoring this thread - it's now 25th August?!

Guys, another way:

1. Go to the admin section of your website (www.YourDomain/wp-admin or there should be a link in the website itself) and log in.

2. Once logged in, at the top of the main page there will be a link to upgrade your version of WP. Follow the instructions (asks you to back up your files before) and in a few secs it's done.

Easy :)
