Moving your website to another hosting requires that you contact your new hosting company and change your domain name servers to point to their servers. This is a process handled and answered in more detail by the new hosting company. It is a good idea to backup your blog frequently. The back up files and folders may be required when trying to import your site to the new host.

Before you move the site, we recommend that you remove your sales offers and banner ads. This will make room for the new owner's ads. However, this is simply a courtesy and is not required. You may consider leaving the ads up and taking your affiliate links out first. Regardless of your decision, your financial information will not be compromised. Your affiliate ads only contain a URL that is associated with your account. They do not contain your financial information.

You will need to transfer your website's files and database over to your customer's hosting account. To initiate the transfer, contact your customer's hosting company. Normally, they will perform the transfer for you for free. Otherwise, you will have to move the site yourself.

You may also consider using the WPDirect migration functionality available on the Website Settings page of your dashboard.

We highly recommend that you create backups of both the files and the database. Here are our knowledgebase tutorials on how to backup your website: http://ask.wpdirect.com/question/298/how-do-i-backup-my-websites-.html
Once the website has been transferred to the new owner, you can safely remove it from your dashboard. This will disconnect the WPDirect content management and our Premium plugins. This will disconnect your Pretty Links automatically.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are changing your hosting companies and you already have your content posters installed and setup, this will cause your license keys to be reset. If you suspect this will be an issue, please contact support prior to switching hosts.
