You can now upload plugins without using a separate FTP client.
Simply click "My Files" on the right sidebar of the WPDirect dashboard.
You will be taken to a menu that allows you to upload plugins directly to your dashboard.
You can then install the plugin to individual websites on your account.

You are more than welcome to use an external WordPress plugin with WPD and all of its features. If you want to upload your own plugin, first you'll have to download the plugin to your computer.
You'll need to use an FTP client to upload the plugin to your website. (Try Filezilla if you don't already have one.) Your FTP login information is on the "Website Settings" page of your WPD members dashboard.
You'll have to upload the plugin folder from your computer's hard drive to the following directory on your FTP account:
public_html/wp-content/plugins
Once it is uploaded, activate the new plugin by logging into your wp-admin.

If you choose to upload your plugins using My Files section in WPDirect as Jeffrey mentioned above then make sure that you have them in Zip format. Install them to your site(s) after uploading then you need go to each sites and activate the plugins that you newly installed.
Make sure that you click "All Plugins" withing Wp-Admin dashboard. If you have "Active Plugins" chosen, you will not see the plugins that you have just installed but not activated yet.

I am having allot of trouble with third party plugins i wouldn't recommend installing any plugin other then what is in the back office. This is starting to turn into a major hassle. I have done all of what you guys have said and it is just plan not working. and the wpdirect support just can't figure out what is the issue with this either.

You no longer have to FTP a plug in to your site.
Just click on the Dashboard "Plug-Ins" Add New and then use the upload function at the top of the page to directly upload a zipped plugin to your site.
This works for Themes too, from the Themes section of course (not the Plug-Ins).
John
PS: I've just done that with both a Bridaluxe Plug in and with the Flexisqueeze Theme.
