Do I Need a Widget Ready Theme for WPD?

Some of the 1500+ themes are not widget enabled. All of the recommended themes are. To get a wider assortment of widget-ready themes, you can click the 'widget-ready' text in the tag cloud. That is also a good, larger set of stable themes. Wordpress is an alphabet soup of WP, plugins, themes and widgets. All of the interactions are impossible to fully test or predict for each of the 1500 themes. When we find a problem theme, we typically remove it. We have removed about 200 of the ones from last year and added about 300 new ones. The recommended themes are bullet proof ones we use in troubleshooting issues on people's sites. We know that all things work properly when using those themes.
