You cannot keep the same URL because WPD blogs are subdomains of our registered domains. This means you need to first register a new domain and then move your installation over to the new domain. Here is link to the official WordPress tutorial on moving the blog:

Once your blog is working at the new domain, you need to import it back into the WPDirect dashboard so that it refreshes the IP, the content software, and the settings.
