Where is my Ad?

On the video for creating ads, he checks off "sidebar widget" however, when I tried to publish my ad I did not have that option and instead had "sale offer". So I checked that one in Market Samurai. However, I do not see an ad in my blog anywhere. I went to the Manage ads area in WPD and the ad does appear there. My theme says that it is widget ready and in the managing area it says if my ad did not show up automatically that I may have to get a new theme. I am very new at this and do not understand a lot of the terminology and am not sure what to do. I am already behind on the 30dc and any help or suggestions is hugely appreciated. Thank you to all in advance for any help!!!!!

I solved the problem to my question. I initially used a theme that did not have "ads and banners" pre-installed. So I changed the theme with "ads and banners" in it and problem solved! My ad showed up right away. To change the theme, just go to the theme gallery, choose a theme with "ads and banners" and then just click "change theme". It will change automatically. Hope this helps.
