I saw another post with a question about duplicate content, but don't believe it answered the question of duplicate content for the auto posters.
Basically, since we are importing content from another source and posting it on our blog are we going to be penalized by google and it have a negative effect on these sites? Could this also effect quality score for Adwords?

The articles that are pulled in by the content posters are approved of by the original author and the source. Consider, for example, how when a video on YouTube becomes really popular, that same video appears on hundreds of blogs at the same time. Google does not consider this duplicate content, because it recognizes that the video is correctly attributed to the owner. Also, the search engines understand that a video can be syndicated on multiple blogs without any penalty.
