I've been getting this same error for 4 days: "syntax error: parseJSON couldn't connect to 67.18.96.45." I'm hosted by Host Gator. This is my first attempt with Word Press, my domain is hemorrhoidshometreatmentsite.com. I have other domains with Host Gator, if that's important to know. The exact actions I did before getting this error are: I clicked "Install New Site" and came to a page entitled "Step 2". I've filled in the data and at the bottom I've clicked on "check settings and proceed to Next Step", at which point I keep getting the syntax error parseJSON couldn't connect to 67.18.96.45. If someone can help me I'll be glad to provide my Host Gator user name and password. I've gone into Host Gator and done the steps that I thought were needed to connect my domain name to Word Press. Thanks for any help.

I think this is not unique nature of the site. I have exactly the same error message (of course with different IP on the message).

Hope the answer is accessible to other member...

Thanks

I have a similar syntas error:parseJSON--couldn't connect to 74.220.199.6. I also contact Blue Host as they were helping me with the default that had to be eliminated.

Thank you Adele
