Do I have to use all the WP Direct plugins

For instance, I use Statcounter not Google Analytics and I'd prefer to go on doing that. Secondly, I am importing existing sites which use phpBay. I've found that cache plugins mean the ebay listings don't update, so I don't want to use a cache plug
